Rowboat memories

Rowboat memories by Michael Orhelein
Rowboat memories, a photo by Michael Orhelein on Flickr.

When I was a boy my dad would put an old 10hp outboard on a rented rowboat and we'd go fishing. I suppose all those great memories are the reason I love to find this kind of image.

I'm not getting political here. The boat on the right (Freedom) is for sale. I was amused...doesn't take much anymore.

The honor system is pretty simple and works well in our rural America. Honor, what a concept!

Last evening Irene showed her softer side as she approached Bethany Beach. This morning she has gotten moody and harsh. Before she leaves she will get nasty and in her aftermath...well we will have to wait.

Well before the sun rose the sky was on fire with color. A lot of people sat on the beach to enjoy the moment. What a great morning! Sharing it with your child makes it even better.

A Lucky Sunset, a photo by Michael Orhelein on Flickr.

On the way back to my truck after a portrait session I was surprised to see such an incredible end to the day. I figured I'd miss it by the time I got to a place that was clear enough for a good view. Got Lucky!

The reflection in the water on the dock as the tide rose was quite inspiring. I worked the area for about 45minutes when I realized there was no way I was going to get back to the shore completely dry.

During WW2 these towers lined the coast of Delaware for the purpose of sighting enemy ships. Several remain standing, reminding us of another time.
