Sunrise at 5:37, I am often surprised by just how many people I see up before the sun. The boardwalk ,however, was quiet this morning.

The reflection in the water on the dock as the tide rose was quite inspiring. I worked the area for about 45minutes when I realized there was no way I was going to get back to the shore completely dry.

During WW2 these towers lined the coast of Delaware for the purpose of sighting enemy ships. Several remain standing, reminding us of another time.

Although quiet in the morning, the beach goers will soon cover the sand and play in the ocean. Lifeguards will be stationed in their chairs by 8:00am.

Bethany Beach Today

The fireworks were pretty darn good this year. It seemed there were 6 or 7 grand finales! The weather was perfect and the crowds were friendly.
